OnLife Recieves Grant From Coastal Community Foundation, San Diego

Onlife has had great news recently with a grant from The Coastal Community Foundation, which is made possible through the funds from the Mental Health Fund (Coastal Community Foundation). Thank you to them and the Onlife team. I couldn’t have done anything without you guys, especially Katie Kevorkian our wonderful and talented grant writer and coordinator. OnLife gives a heartfelt thanks again to Coastal Community Foundation.

OnLife Visits UCLA

The OnLife team visited the beautiful campus of UCLA to talk to students and inform them about suicide prevention and resources. We were at UCLA from the morning till late afternoon close by to the Bruin Bear near the bookstore on campus. We had a great time and the students came by to share their stories and learn more about what we do and how they can help. Thanks to everyone involved.

OnLife and AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) had a great walk this past Saturday here in San Diego. Many people came out for this event to help support this great cause that both our organizations strive to help prevent. Our online raffle was also a success! Winners were selected and contacted via email and telephone to claim their Defend Life merchandise. Thanks to AFSP and the OnLife staff and volunteers for coming out and making this event run smoothly.

The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention and OnLife Team Up For the Out of the Darkness Walk in San Diego on October 16, 2010

Here at OnLife we are proud to work with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and support their efforts for the Out of the Darkness community walk. Taking place in San Diego, this walk hopes to raise money and also bring awareness to the general public about suicide and suicide awareness. OnLife will also have a booth set up to give away our new Defend Life clothing in an online raffle! So come on by, fill out some information and hopefully you can win! We are excited to present our newest staff member Matt Pick! Matt is the promotional development and merchandise design head which is the core to our new Defend Life youth outreach campaign. OnLife Welcomes Two New Volunteers: Sharon and Judy

OnLife is excited to announce the addition of two more volunteers to our team. Sharon Gao and Judy Rattana are local San Diego volunteers who have been longtime advocates for suicide prevention and non-profit work. Sharon is currently a student at Torrey Pines High School who specializes in graphic design, and will be helping us in developing new posters, flyers and website graphics. Judy has worked and volunteered around many non-profits in Southern California and will help OnLife with public relations and event planning. Welcome aboard!

OnLife’s 2nd Annual Fundraiser a Success!

A big heartfelt thanks goes out to all of our supporters, friends, staff, family and community sponsors for our 2nd annual fundraiser even better than our first! It was a memorable night with great prizes raffled off to lucky winners, coming together of people supporting suicide prevention and OnLife, so it was an all-around good time. We exceeded our goal in raising money all thanks to everyone who came out and bought raffle tickets and just overall having a great time at El Dorado. Thanks again to our sponsors: Shirojo Clothing, Riviera Magazine, IRONS Clothing, DTS, and last but not least El Dorado for hosting this event. Also this night couldn’t have been done without the efforts and hard work of our staff members and volunteers of OnLife. Here are some pictures of the event!

OnLife Visits University of Tennessee

As a part of OnLife’s continuing college tour, we have made our way south to the University of Tennessee! OnLife spent the afternoon handing flyers out as well as talking to faculty and students about the importance of suicide prevention and awareness. OnLife was well-received there and the people we have spoke to said we were welcome to come back anytime in the future.
